Modern Selling: The Role of Social Media in E-commerce
My favorite clothing brand started during the peak of pandemic. The brand name is "Great Vibes Clothing". As its name suggest, the shirts have unique designs and inspirational quotes and messages. I like how people can spread positive and motivational thoughts through wearing their shirts.
In promoting his business, he uses social medias like TikTok and Facebook. Whenever he has an upcoming shirt designs and sales, he posts it on the social media in order to launch it and people can also pre-order after viewing the designs. He displays them to other people by posting modeled photos and reels with a caption and link to the social media marketplace in Facebook and TikTok shop, so it is easier for the buyers to locate a specific shirt that they want to buy. He also does TikTok live after releasing his new designs in order to display new releases so the costumers can interact with him in real-time, answer costumers' concerns and also for him to showcase different designs and features of the shirts. Customers can also easily access the different designs he is showcasing through the "yellow basket" feature in TikTok. He also hosts raffle draws during his live that gives out free Great Vibes shirt. My aunt participated in one of his holiday raffle draws not too long ago and actually won a red shirt with a "Dont forget to love yourself too" which she really loved. By using social media, other social media influencers can help him advertise his products to a wider audience, like the popular vlogger and social media influencer "Ser Geybin" that wore his shirts in one of his vlogs.
Social media marketplace can help sellers showcase their products online for easy access and deliveries. It also helps customers to contact the sellers easily. Social media can help sellers advertise their business and products to wide variety of audience that can contribute to their growth as a company as social media is a platform that everyone can engage to.
